Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon Necrozma Guide

These pokémon are immensely powerful, so there are a few hoops you have to jump through first in order to obtain them. Here’s how!

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Necrozma

The first pokémon you’ll be picking up is Necrozma. On your journey through Mount Lanakila towards the Elite 4, you’ll come across a weakened Necrozma located in an impact crater. When asked, lend Necrozma some of the light from your Z-Ring and proceed into the battle.

It’s a level 65 pokémon, which is likely to be higher than your average level for this part of the game, but it has a much higher catch rate than you would expect. Weaken it a little and you’ll have no trouble catching it in an ultra ball, so don’t waste a rare ball on it.

After the battle you’ll receive the Ultranecrozium Z, and Colress will show up to hand you the N-Solarizer and the N-Lunarizer. You’ll need these items to obtain the next two pokémon forms.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon Solgaleo/Lunala

After you have Necrozma, head to the Mahalo Trail, where you’ll meet Lillie and either Solgaleo (if you’re playing Ultra Sun) or Lunala (if you’re playing Ultra Moon). You’ll now have the opportunity to battle and capture this legendary, and you’ll need it in order to use the special Necrozma forms. Like Necrozma, the catch rate is very high, so don’t feel like you need to use anything stronger than an ultra ball.

Dusk Mane Necrozma/Dawn Wings Necrozma

With Necrozma and either Solgaleo or Lunala in your team, you can now make use of the N-Solarizer and N-Lunarizer items. By using these items and selecting both Necrozma and Solgaleo/Lunala when prompted, the two pokémon will fuse into Dusk Mane Necrozma (with Solgaleo) or Dawn Wings Necrozma (with Lunala).

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon Ultra Necrozma

With the Ultranecrozium Z attached to either Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma, you’ll now have the option in-battle to use your Z-move to transform into Ultra Necrozma. This command operates similarly to a Mega Evolution, and with power to match. Enjoy using one of the strongest pokémon ever created!

This might be the end of our guide on how to obtain every form of Necrozma in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon, but make sure to but make sure to hit up any of our other guides on the game, including how to find Ditto, as well as how to find Team Rainbow Rocket.
