Legendary Pokemon Xerneas and Yveltal available for Pokemon Sun and Moon starting today

Legendary Pokemon Xerneas and Yveltal will be made available for Pokemon Sun and Moon, and Ultra Sun and Moon players starting this week.

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have announced when players of either edition of Pokemon Sun and Moon can expect Xerneas and Yveltal from the Kalos region to be made available.

Both of the Legendary Pokemon will be distributed for 3DS systems starting today.

In the US and Canada, Pokemon players will need to visit their local GameStop store by May 27 to grab the code. Canadian residents should head to their nearest EB Games location.

Distribution in the UK will take place May 4-26 at local GAME stores.

Pokemon Ultra Sun or Pokemon Sun players will be able add the Dark/Flying-type Yvelta to their game. Pokemon Moon and Ultra Moon players will receive a code for the Fairy-type Xerneas. Stats for each Pokemon are posted in the image below.

How to get Xerneas or Yveltal for Pokemon Sun and Moon

Open your Pokemon Sun and Moon or Ultra Sun and Moon game.
Select Mystery Gift on the main menu.
Select Receive Gift.
Select Get with Code/Password, then Yes, then Yes again to connect to the internet.
Enter your code.
Watch as you receive your Pokemon.
Resume the game, make sure you have an empty space in your party, and speak to the delivery person in any Pokemon Center to receive your Pokemon.
Be sure to save your game.

The next distribution will occur in June with Zygarde, the Dragon/Ground-type with three distinct forms from the Kalos and Alola regions.

Hopefully players grabbed codes for April's Legendary Pokemon Entei and Raikou for Sun and Moon before today's distribution hit. Both Pokemon became unavailable on April 29.

In March, Legendary Pokemon Regigigas and Heatran were made available for Pokemon Sun and Moon, and Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon. Nintendo distributed Legendary Dialga and Palkia in February, and there will be more legendaries handed out monthly through November 2018.
