Microsoft confirms legitimacy of yesterday's Forza 4 video

Yesterday, a video claiming to contain game footage of Forza 4 hit YouTube, and considering what yesterday was, we were a bit wary of it despite the quality of it. Today, Microsoft has confirmed that the video was indeed legitimate, but not much else.

The video was a demonstration of proposed features for the next iteration in the series, and contained quite a bit of footage Microsoft showed at E3 last year during its Kinect demonstration. Some of the features mentions in the video also mirrored some questions included in a marketing survey MS sent out earlier this week.

Kinect-supported head tracking was demonstrated in the video, as well as driving controls using the tech in casual mode. Social networking features were detailed, as well as the advanced lighting and modeling already mentioned in the survey and E3 demo.

A representative from Microsoft told Kotkau that the video in question was "not intended for public distribution and may not accurately reflect features and functionality that ship in Forza Motorsport 4."

The rep added that MS will "have more to share on Forza Motorsport 4 in the near future."

YouTube has since removed the original video, but luckily someone else has posted it. Watch it below quickly before it is removed again.
