Early Access to the content will be made available to those who pre-order the expansion on June 19. Pre-orders go live on March 16 in three versions: a standalone, collector's edition and bundled with the core game.

Along with the new location, the content includes the Alexander raid, new flying mounts, a new loot system, three extra jobs and a new race.

The MMO's director Naoki Yoshida told those attending a PAX panel that Heavensward contains so much content, the studio considers it more of a "standalone" than a typical expansion.

Heavensward will be released on June 23 on PC, PlayStation 3 and PS4, as well as a Mac version which is being developed by TransGaming.
