Support is ending for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT

Both the main Dissidia Final Fantasy NT arcade game and its PC/PS4 ports have reached the end of their life.

Square Enix has announced today that Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will soon receive its last major update in arcades, as well as on PC and PS4. The news dropped earlier today in a Japanese developer stream, as reported by RPG Site.

The game's main arcade version is due for its last update this week. The same patch will be available on PC and PS4 on March 5. It'll add Ardyn as a playable character, and make a few last balance changes, but it's going to be the game's last.

Despite ending support, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT servers will remain online for the foreseeable future. Square Enix is not working on a sequel, and said that servers won't be available forever.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is a 3v3 fighter bringing together many classic Final Fantasy heroes and villains. The current version started out in arcades, before making its way to PS4 in 2018, and to PC in 2019.

Square Enix did try to revive interest by offering a free-to-play version, but that also couldn't move the needle.
