The Division 2 is set in Washington DC - check out some E3 2018 gameplay footage

The Division 2 will be set in Washington, DC. The location was outed earlier today at E3 before a gameplay trailer was shown during the Xbox E3 2018 briefing.

Ubisoft's E3 2018 presentation doesn't take place until tomorrow, but thanks to a banner on display at the LA Convention Center, and some gameplay shown at the Microsoft briefing, we know The Division 2 will be set in Washington, DC.

The large banner shows three agents standing in front of the reflecting pool of the Washington Monument. In the distance, the Capitol Building is on fire, as you can clearly see smoke rising out of it.

Looking over the trailer and the gameplay, more than monuments come into play. Gameplay showed agents walking around the Smithsonian's National Zoo, looking for a downed aircraft. Listening to the jibber jabber, it seems they were looking for an extraction point.

During its financial call to investors, Ubisoft promised new, post-launch content would be added quickly, and to expect a larger amount of content.

Massive said it would provide new information on the title at E3 2018, and we don't have long to wait: Ubisoft's press conference goes live tomorrow, June 11 at 4pm ET / 9pm BST.
