Co-op shooter Strange Brigade gets August release date

Strange Brigade, the co-op shooter from Sniper Elite maker Rebellion, has finally be given a release date.

Announced a little under a year ago, Strange Brigade is a 1930s-themed co-op shooter for four players. In it, you play as one of four members of the eponymous brigade, a secret branch of the British Secret Service.

Rebellion today announced that the game will be available August 28 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The game takes place in Egypt, where the band of adventurers are headed to prevent the Witch Queen Seteki, who's recently risen from the dead, from amassing an army.

The game features early 19th century technology with some mystical-infused items and power ups. Each of the four heroes carries an amulet they can charge with the souls of their enemies to unleash magical attacks.

When you're not taking out hordes of enemies, you'll be looking for treasure, and solving environmental puzzles.

This whole setup is explored in today's story trailer, which you can check out below.

Strange Brigade is out August 28 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is available to pre-order now.
