World of Demons is a mobile title from Platinum Games coming this summer
PlatinumGames has teamed up with DeNA for a mobile title called World of Demons.
World of Demons will be a free-to-play title when it releases this summer.
The game puts players in the role of a three characters: a samurai named Onimaru, the shrine maiden Sayoas, and an as of yet unnamed character (thanks, Siliconera).
If you watch the World of Demons trailer, you'll be introduced to both of the named characters.
The characters will be fighting the yokai and oni which have appeared in the world. Each demon will play differently from the next. Players will also collect yoaki, up to 80, and use three of them in fights.
These yokai are earned from battles or through the gacha system. Games modes include Skirmish, asynchronous PvP in Yokai Showdown, and co-op via Samurai Stronghold.
