Nier: Automata sells over 2 million units

Nier: Automata has sold over 2 million units, Square Enix has announced.

The figure covers digital purchases, and physical units shipped to retailers worldwide. This means that Nier: Automata sold another million units since the last check-in, which was in April about a month after launch.

To celebrate, Square Enix is putting the game on sale through Steam, as well as the PlayStation Store for 35%-36% off.

The publisher revealed that the Nier: Automata / Nier: Gestalt & Replicant soundtrack vinyl box set will be available to pre-order in Europe beginning September 25 through the Square Enix online store. It'll be released in December.

The online store is now also taking pre-orders of the Nier Music Concert & Talk Live, as well as the Nier Music Concert: The Memories of Puppets blu-rays. Check the store for more.

In other Nier news, Square Enix is reportedly hiring for a Nier-related project, though we're not sure if this means a full-blown sequel, DLC, or something else.
