Gears of War 4 PC pre-load available now

We're going to take all the time we can get to download these pretty big Gears of War 4 files.

Gears of War 4 developer The Coalition has made the PC version of the game available to pre-load through the Windows Store. The Xbox One version pre-load went live a couple of days ago.

The Coalition stressed that anyone looking to pre-load the game should first update their Windows 10 install. This update (KB3194496) was released yesterday, and takes care of many Windows Store pre-load and download issues.

The download is not small either, coming in at a whopping 73.3GB. Hopefully the Windows update will prevent the download from restarting.

Gears of War 4 is out October 11 on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. Ultimate Edition owners get access October 7.
