Mad Max will come in a snazzy but surprisingly restrained Post-Apocalypse Edition.
Mad Max Post-Apocalypse Edition doesn’t include a statue or replica gun or any of the sort of stuff you usually find in these things.
Nope: the whole thing is remarkably restrained, packing in a steelbook, a collector’s box, the Ripper DLC (also available as a pre-order bonus), a mini license plate and a copy of Mad Max: Fury Road on Blu-ray. I can’t speak for international pricing, but down under the package costs about as much as the game and Blu-ray alone would, which is about as reasonable as you get in the land of the Australia Tax.
In Australia the special edition is exclusive to EB Games (here it is on PS4 and Xbox One). I haven’t been able to find it at a US or UK retailer yet, and there’s no information regarding it on the game’s website, so stay tuned for news on that front.
Max Max hits PC, PS4 and Xbox One in early September. We hope Warner Bros. is going to start talking more about it once the Batman: Arkham Knight excitement dies down. There’s an exclusive content deal with Sony so we can expect one or another of the companies to make a bit of a fuss.
