YouPorn has an eSports team now

YouPorn has made good on its promise to sponsor an eSports team, with members heading to a Dota 2 tourney this very weekend.

Team YP, as it is politely named, is based in Spain and includes five memners - Ragabash, LoLQoP, SolmyR, Lawliet_91 and Mengue.

The team will make its debut at the Gamergy Tournament in Madrid on Friday.

“We’re so psyched to finally make our official entry into gaming and eSports,” YouPorn vice president Brad Burns said in a press release.

“This partnership has been a long time coming, and I believe that with our backing, along with the expertise that each member of Team YP brings to the table on the virtual battlefield, we can succeed in tearing through the competition at this year’s Gamergy event.”

Thanks to huge growth, eSports is becoming big business and sponsorship is a reasonably effective form of advertising. It wouldn't be at all surprising if a mainstream video streaming site like YouTube formed an eSports team, although it'd be a fair less titillating headline, and probably less attractive uniforms.
