The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is indeed coming to PlayStation 4

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, the horror fiction title from former People Can Fly developers The Astronauts, has been confirmed for release on PlayStation 4.

The game is also coming to PC. A release for Xbox One has yet to be confirmed but last we heard it was being seriously considered.

A first-person perspective has players exploring and interacting with the game world to find out why Ethan has disappeared.

Players will conduct the investigation at their own pace and on their own terms. It's not a horror game, but one with some uneasy, clammy bits, according to studio boss Adrian Chmielarz.

It is also not a puzzle-ridden game but one which focuses on "atmosphere, mood, and the essential humanity of the characters."
