Assassin's Creed: Unity's E3 2014 trailer and gameplay footage are delightfully stirring

Assassin's Creed: Unity's E3 2014 trailer continues the franchise's tradition of making history much more exciting than you remember from high school.

Creative director Alex Amancio introduced this gorgeous trailer, which was followed by Assassin's Creed: Unity E3 gameplay footage - check that out below.

Ubisoft has since released a direct-feed gameplay demo with commentary from Amancio, and you'll find that second from the bottom, with a trailer focusing on Arno, our new hero, at the very foot of the page.

Ubisoft emphasised that Unity's open world is a systemic one - that means various elements should interact according to rules independently of the player, rather than when scripted. Assassin’s Creed Unity with four-player co-op will launch globally on October 28 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
