Shock: Modern Warfare 3 is 2011's best selling game in UK

UKIE's announced the best selling game of 2011 was Modern Warfare 3.

The Infinity Ward shooter came out on top ahead of FIFA 12 and Battlefield 3.

Chart-Track games boss Dorian Bloch said revenue for half of 2011 came from games that released in Q4 2011, with at least seven games in the top ten coming out between October-December.

The remaining three - LA Noire, Zumba Fitness and FIFA 12 - came out before October.

For the platform lists, Uncharted 3, Modern Warfare 3, Zumba Fitness, Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call, FIFA 12, Super Mario 3D Land and Football Manager 2012 were the respective winners.
