Dead Space 2 bonus DLC workaround for Silver Live subscriptions

New copies of Dead Space 2 on Xbox 360 come lovingly bundled with a couple of download items, which according to the directions, you can have for free … by accessing a Gold subscriber level Live feature. Oh.

Never mind, EA have realised their instructional oversight and advised of a workaround so you can still obtain your swag.

The publisher told Joystiq that players can grab their bonus items by visiting the “extras” Dead Space 2 menu and selecting “redeem code”.

This works around a package insert advising players to use EA’s Online pass system – a feature only available to Gold level Live subscribers.

One-use DLC codes for both the Zealot Suit and Zealot Force Gun are bundled with the Xbox 360 version of Dead Space 2.
