Marvel Heroes to use Unreal Engine 3
Gazillion has licensed Unreal Engine 3 for its upcoming MMO, Marvel Heroes. Unreal Engine 3 brings 3D gaming to Flash
Epic’s Tim Sweeney announced during Adobe MAX 2011 today that Unreal Engine 3 now runs inside Flash Player 11. To demonstrate how it works, he demoed Unreal Tournament 3 running in Adobe’s latest update which was released yesterday. This means browser games using UR3 can provide the player with a “real” 3D experience. This will also make it easier to convert browser-based games into apps for mobile devices. The big thing, will be Facebook games: since these are browser-based games, using UR3, you may eventually find that your farm or zoo games will finally start looking more like a PC or console title. Check out shots of UT3 running in Flash below.

Do you like pretty things? Do you like creepy things? Do you enjoy stroking your chin and pensively emitting the occasional “hmmmm” punctuated by an “indeed”? Well – what a coincidence – Dream:scape is a thing that exists. It’s about a coma patient delving into a dream world that has, among other things, scarecrow clowns. Consider us intrigued/screaming. Check out the trailer after the break.
