Unreal Engine 3 brings 3D gaming to Flash

Epic's Tim Sweeney announced during Adobe MAX 2011 today that Unreal Engine 3 now runs inside Flash Player 11. To demonstrate how it works, he demoed Unreal Tournament 3 running in Adobe's latest update which was released yesterday. This means browser games using UR3 can provide the player with a "real" 3D experience. This will also make it easier to convert browser-based games into apps for mobile devices. The big thing, will be Facebook games: since these are browser-based games, using UR3, you may eventually find that your farm or zoo games will finally start looking more like a PC or console title.
