Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 producer Dave Cox has announced via Twitter the game will be released on PC due to “popular demand.” The game will be the conclusion to the saga, and features Dracula returning to his castle in order to reacquire his powers. Konami followed up the tweet with an official press release on the matter, adding it would be simultaneously developed by Mercury Steam alongside the console versions. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is slated for release in 2013 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

A handful of screens for Konami and Mercury Steam’s lengthy titled Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate have risen from the depths of Comic Con. Grab them through the break where all the action takes place at night. The game launches on 3DS later this year.

Konami is teasing folks again, and this time, the tease points to a website called, The Dragon Returns, which is supposedly Castlevania: Lord of Shadows 2. The date on the site points to Konami’s pre-E3 presser which takes place on May 31. A NeoGAF user looked at the page’s source code, and found “CLOS Teaser Page” listed. The teaser is also up on Facebook. Earlier this week, it was reported the game would not only arrive on PS3 and Xbox 360, but Wii U as well with the later interacting with the 3DS title Mirror of Fate. Both titles are in development at MercurySteam.

The Internet will not rest until it’s outed every E3 2012 surprise, starting with a new 2D Castlevania title for 3DS.
