Haemimont Games has produced yet another DLC pack for tropical island management sim Tropico 4. Called Voodoo, the new pack includes a mission in which our beloved El Presidente is targeted by a voodoo curse – entirely undeserved, I am sure. It also adds the Voodoo Manor building, Voodoo Priest costume, and a suitably magical character trait. Grab it for $5 on Xbox Live, Steam or direct from publisher Kalypso.

A demo for Omerta – City of Gangsters is now available through Xbox Live. The Haemimont Games strategy title focuses on the activities of organized crime in Atlantic City in the 1920’s where players take on the role of “a fresh-off-the-boat gangster, as he struggles to make a name for himself and build a criminal empire in a meticulously recreated prohibition-era Atlantic City.” The game was released on PC, and Xbox 360 on February 1.

Omerta: City of Gangsters has gone gold on PC and Xbox 360, publisher Kalypso has announced, having delayed the gangster sim from an expected November 2012 launch. It’s a new IP from Haemimont Games, the team behind the most recent Tropico releases, and combines tactical turn based combat with a wider strategic goal of taking over a Prohibition-era city with nothing but an army of mobsters in fancy duds. Expect it on February 12.

I have noticed a compelling correlation between watching Tropico 4 trailers and my desire to bunk off work and play games all day. This Gold Edition business is not exactly helping.

Evil Avatar reports Kalypso has released a new Tropico 4 add-on for both PC and Xbox 360. The Quick-Dry Cement pack goes for $4.99 or 400 MS Points, and adds a cement factory building, the constructor character trait, an engineer helmet, a new mission theme, and a handful of new decorations.
