Trine 2: Complete Story launches alongside PS4 tomorrow in North America and Frozenbyte has released the trailer for it. Enjoy below. Trine 2: Complete Story supports DualShock 4′s touch pad, allowing the user to draw boxes or planks with the wizard, and moving them around to interact with the environment. It also supports full HD 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second gameplay. It will run you $19.99.

Trine 2: Complete Story Edition developer Frozenbyte has confirmed it is bringing the game to PS4. Better yet, it’s going to be displayed in 1080p at 60FPS.

Frozenbyte has already said it’s on board for PS4, and it looks as though a port of Trine 2 may be heading to the console – if a listing for the DigiExpo Finnish gaming convention is correct. According to the listing, found by NeoGAF, the game is set to be shown by the developer on November 1. Frozenbyte has yet to announce the game for PS4 version, so we’ll send a mail and ask. Frozenbyte is offering 25% off the gorgeous and clever platform puzzler Trine 2: Director’s Cut – that’s $15/€12.50 or regional equivalent. The sale is valid until February 28 in all territories except Europe, which has until March 7 to take advantage. The Wii U port includes DLC from the other versions, has just been updated with a graphics refresh, Pro Controller support and voice chat, and retains a full set of features including local and online co-op for up to three players.

Trine 2: Director’s Cut – freshly available in Australia and New Zealand, by the way – has been updated with a number of new features. It now supports the Pro Controller, and you can use the Game Pad, a Wii U headset or smart TV with micreophone to voice chat with your co-op partner. Frozenbyte has also updated the graphics, correcting an issue which made the Wii U release appear washed-out. Trine 2 for Wii U has been “stuck in the submission” process in Australia and New Zealand, according to Frozenbyte, but the developer hopes the title will be released by the end of the month.

Trine 2: Director’s Cut was a Wii U eShop launch title in the US and Europe, but missed its Australian launch date because Fronzenbyte didn’t submit it to the Classification Board in time, the developer told Ausgamers. The co-operative puzzle platformer is now expected locally in mid-December and will be 20% off during its release period.

Trine 2 has an expansion in the works courtesy of developer Frozenbyte called Goblin Menace. The campaign comes with six levels, new skills playable in the original game, and general improvements and tweaks. Trine 2: Goblin Menace will release on PC, OS X, and Linux. Frozenbyte has teased the upcoming first expansion for Trine 2 in video form, showing some of the lush art that’ll form the new content. A new story and new enemies are promised alongside six new stages, along with new abilities for the heroes that can carry back into the main game. Shack has the video here.
