Trine franchise sells over 7 million units, editor tools released on Steam

The Trine franchise has sold over 7 million copies since the original's 2009 release, and Frozenbyte is celebrating in a rather creative way.

Creative for you, the player that is: the developer has released the editor tools for first two games via Steam. The Editor has been in beta since September, and is now ready to roll.

Those 7 million in sales include copies of both games released on eight different platforms.

If you have yet to try out either game, Trine Enchanted Edition and Trine 2: Complete Story are both free on Steam this weekend.

Both are on sale as well. Trine Enchanted Edition is currently $2.99 and Trine 2: Complete Story is $3.99.
