Steve Piggott, lead game designer on Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, has indicated the game is set to receive a batch of mod tools sometime in the near future.

Steam creator Valve has released its latest chart stats, revealing Chivarly: Medieval Warfare to be top dog. Pre-orders for Skyrim’s latest expansion Dragonborn are also through the roof.

If you’re hungry for a new kind of multiplayer action, Steam offers quite the feast: a trencher and oversized turkey leg. By which I mean Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, which is free to play all weekend and 50% off should it capture your fickle fancy. The independent battler holds a 70 Metacritic average and topped at least one download list over Christmas, although it has no women in it.

Green Man Gaming has released its official PC download Christmas chart, and the immensely popular Chivalry: Medieval Warfare has finished in top place. Check out the rest of the high-sellers after the jump.

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare contains no female characters, because that would “make it appeal less” to women, apparently.
