Housemarque and Eugene Jarvis' Nex Machina has local co-op and a release date

That's quite a bit of good news in one headline.

Revealed at PSX 2016 back in December, the plot for Housemarque and Eugene Jarvis' Nex Machina revolves around a machine uprising which must be quelled. Exciting!

Along with the new footage seen in the trailer, the development team also announced the addition of local co-op, as seen in the video.

"This is something that we’ve been trying to keep secret for a long time, but many of our friends have already guessed it was coming," said Housemarque's Rudolf Westerholm.

"Local co-op will allow two players to play side by side, just like in the old school arcades, competing or helping each other out."

You can get your hands on the top-down, twin-stick shooter on PC and PlayStation 4 June 20 in both North America and Europe.
