F1 2016 has been described as “the most immersive career” ever featured in the franchise by Codemasters, and today they showcased the first gameplay footage of the title.

The video shows Daniel Ricciardo racing around the brand new Baku Circuit, and you can take a look at Jolyon Palmer's lap below.

We got a peek at screenshots of the game last month, along with details of the new career mode.

You won't have to wait too much longer to get your hands on F1 2016. The game will launch PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 19.

Codemasters have confirmed that there will also be a Limited Edition containing a 'Career Booster' DLC pack for those who want a head start in career mode.

Players will get a ‘Research and Development boost’ that "applies a percentage increase to all research and development credits earned by the player in each session in the new career mode," as well as unlocking an exclusive Career Helmet and Laptop design.
