Dead Rising 4 offers the best zombie-killing toys

The Dead Rising series may focus around zombies, but just as important are ways you can destroy them. Whether crafting useful items or stumbling across a powerful weapon, these games provides countless methods of clobbering the undead. And based on the Dead Rising 4 gameplay Arekkz captured on the E3 floor, the latest game will be no exception.

The Dead Rising 4 E3 demo takes place within a section of the zombie infested town, where Frank West has been tasked with following a team of soldiers holed up at the fire station. For gameplay purposes, Arekkz opted to ignore the story and focus on the various weapons lying around, and I'm glad he did. Between an electrically-charged battle axe, enemy-freezing ice sword, and a Plunger Lure rigged with music and explosives, Dead Rising 4 should be great fun for the zombie-killing afficiando. And that's not getting into the ridiculous costumes that will make Frank West's photos and selfies far more memorable.

Arekkz also mentions that Dead Rising 4 is attempting to balance out its more powerful weapons with the Exo Suit, as opposed to letting Frank just pick up whatever's lying around. This is featured in the video as well, where the Exo Suit enables use of a huge mini-gun capable of mowing down hundreds of zombies.

However you choose to kill zombies, you can play Dead Rising 4 for yourself on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs during the holiday season.
