Hearthstone: get 10 free Whispers of the Old Gods packs through launch quest

Hearthstone players who pick up and play the Whispers of the OldGods expansion during its launch week have a chance to score some free cards.

During a live streamed event, Blizzard said there are five packs of cards up for grabs to those who complete a special launch quest. The quest challenges players to win two games of Standard - the new ranked mode in which older cards are forbidden.

Players who go on to complete a second quest by winning seven matches of Standard can earn another batch of five card packs. Even if you don't complete the quest, just logging in with the expansion during launch week will net you three free cards.

This seems like a nice way to offset some of the disgruntlement over the introduction of Standard. Designed to give new players a chance to face off against veterans with huge collections, Standard has necessarily proved an unpopular idea among those players who have invested heavily in legacy decks.
