Firewatch could come to Xbox One, but a sequel unlikely

An Xbox One version of Firewatch is not unlikely, if people want it.

Firewatch developer Camp Santo has said that it's not against releasing the game on Xbox One, if there's enough demand for it.

Speaking to Red Bull, co-founder Sean Vanaman said that despite not having anything currently in the works, the studio would love to bring the game to as many people as possible.

"We’ll see how the game does at launch," he told the site. "And if there’s a desire for it on other platforms then we’ll explore that."

As for a sequel, don't hold your breath. According to Vanaman, Firewatch 2 is not happening. "I'm always kind of ready to start working on another game," he said.

"But I think we’ll start chipping away at that when the time is right. It won’t be a sequel to Firewatch, this story is done. But I’m very excited to see what we come up with next."

Firewatch is out on PC and PlayStation 4 February 9.
