Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft Montreal's ambitious ode to a time when tactical shooters were the norm, comes out December 1 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Siege offers a slow, methodical approach to shooting that's been missing from the mainstream scene for quite a while. The game features two main parts, PvP and co-op. Facing against other players is a 5v5 affair where you play one of three modes; Hostage Rescue, Bomb Defuse and Secure Area.

The co-op mode, called Terrorist Hunt, boasts four modes; Classic, Bomb Defuse, Hostage Rescue, and a Horde mode. You can choose from 20 operators, each of them sporting a specific combat setup. You can of course customise your loadout after spending some game time with the default thing.

There hardly any scores yet, with most outlets holding off until multiplayer is tested in real-world conditions.
