Sony's Shahid Kamal Ahmad is leaving the company after ten years.

He was part of the team responsible for bringing many indie games to PlayStation systems, in particular the Vita handheld, supporting titles such as Thomas Was Alone and Super Crate Box.

The department he is head of, Strategic Content, will continue said Ahmad in a blog post.

"There are no plans to change anything. Our approach to developers will also be unchanged. We have many talented people across the board who work tirelessly to support developers in bringing their video games to PlayStation."

Ahmad himself is off to make video games after a long break.
