Star Wars Battlefront beta extended through Tuesday

The Star Wars Battlefront beta has been extended by a whole day.

The Star Wars Battlefront beta will remain open for an extra day, DICE has announced, and will now run through Tuesday October 13.

No precise time was provided but it's likely to be European or US dating, so if you're in Australia or similar you might be able to sneak in a sneaky match on Wednesday morning.

It might not be the smoothest experience, though. Writing on the EA Star Wars forums, Battlefront community manager Mathew Everett said the extension will allow DICE to run more tests on its infrastructure.

"These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity," he said.

"This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17."

The Star Wars Battlefront beta is open on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, as indeed the final game will be. If you're just getting started, it's worth enduring the grind for unlocks so you can play Walker Assault - but we have some tips to help you rank up, unlock new gear and dominate Battlefront.
