Apple adds new "Pay Once and Play" category to the App Store

Apple has added a new category to the App Store specifically to promote games and applications with no in-app purchases.

Pay Once and Play is new category that's recently been added to the UK's App Store on iOS. The descriptor reads "great games with no in-app purchases," and it's doing just that.

Under the new category, you will find Recent Releases, Blockbuster Games, and App Store Originals. Prices vary per section, to offer a wide variety of content.

This follows Apple's decision last year to remove the word "free" from apps with microtransactions.
