There were also 2.5 million hours spent playing, which equates to around 290 years worth of gameplay, and over 181 million kills confirmed according to data from 343 Industries.

“We’re thrilled with the results - the level of engagement and response from our community shattered all of our expectations," said Josh Holmes, executive producer on the multiplayer beta.

Holmes went on to say the team is now pouring over the thousands of pieces of detailed feedback from players, and created an "extensive list of improvements" for the game based on said feedback, including adjustments to "Spartan Abilities, Weapons, Competitive Skill Ranking and much more.”
