Civilization: Beyond Earth gets first major post-launch balancing patch

Civilization: Beyond Earth players can now take advantage of the famous "just one more turn" option after losing.

The first major patch for Civilization: Beyond Earth is available right now, and it's an absolute whopper.

There's a lot to digest in this title update, but there are a couple of things Firaxis chose to highlight: the 144hz monitor issue should be fixed. Achievements should unlock correctly. Trade route yields have been optimised. The Covert Ops exploit has been axed.

There's also a really huge amount of balancing, the AI has been tweaked, and anonymous telemetry has been implemented so that future updates can take advantage of direct data.

My favourite bit? You can now continue playing after you are defeated, and the game explains why you lost.

Full patch notes are available on the Civilization website.
