The difference between Halo 2 and Halo 2 Anniversary cutscenes is astounding - video

Halo 2 Anniversary is a remake of Halo 2. One of the many things getting touched up is the in-game cutscenes. They've been completely redone and we've got a video showing just how much better they look in the remake.

The video below shows how much of a difference ten years will make to game cinematics. The new scenes include all the effects you'd expect from games coming out in 2014, with diffused lighting, weighty animations, the whole shebang. Putting it against cutscenes of the original game makes the comparison all the more stark.

In addition to remaking all the cutscenes, Halo 2 Anniversary has new cutscenes of its own to expand the story.

Halo 2 Anniversary is part of The Master Chief Collection which is out November 11 on Xbox One.
