PlayStation Now beta open to PlayStation 3 users in North America

The PlayStation Now open beta is now available for PlayStation 3 users in North America, Sony has announced.

The beta is available in mainland US and parts of Canada.

PS Now titles will now be shown on the PlayStation Store as part of the open beta, and the library now consists of over 150 titles with God of War: Ascension, InFamous, and Ultra Street Fighter 4 coming soon.

PS Now allows you to rent a game for a week starting at $1 per day and the price for four hour rentals has been reduced. A subscription option for a PS Now subscription is being worked on.

Sony states that a "steady broadband connection greater than 5Mbps" and hardwired is highly recommended when using the service.
