Super Smash Bros. 3DS has sold 1 million copies in two days in Japan 

Super Smash Bros. 3DS is off to a great start in Japan. The fighter has sold over 1 million units over the weekend.

That's 1 million copies in the game's first release weekend. Nintendo said the number includes both retail and digital sales.

Nintendo also said that Super Smash Bros. has now joined Monster Hunter 4 and Pokemon X&Y in selling 1 million copies.

Smash fans can join the fun when Super Smash Bros. 3DS comes out in the west October 3.
