Escape Dead Island has been announced by Deep Silver for PC and last-gen consoles.

Described as a “survival-mystery game with a fresh perspective on the Dead Island universe,” the game will bridge the events between both Dead Island titles.

It also promised to reveal the origins of the virus, in a story-driven, single-player game played through the eyes of Cliff Calo.

Cliff wants to expose the truth behind the Banoi outbreak by filming evidence at the quarantined island of Narapela.

Players will be able to freely explore the new island, sneak around to avoid the undead which can hear and smell you.”

The visual style of the game is comic-inspired and is slated for release sometime later this year.

@Ailert If this was first person or anything like dead island or riptide I’d agree with you but this seems like lollipop chainsaw meets ninja gaiden z with a hint of dead rising

    They can’t be serious?

Looks like crap. Hate when developers do an Angry Bird and try to cash in while they can instead of preserving some integrity with their franchise. I mean, how many people will actually buy this game when it comes out; will it enough to justify the brand and developer/publisher being tarnished? Doubt it.

I would love a Dead island game that has the emotion of the trailers for the first couple games..

Looks so poo, but you know, maybe it won’t be.

But it probably will, at least it isn’t another FPS though, so it’s got that going for it.
