Confirmed: FIFA 15 Ultimate Team Legends is Xbox exclusive

Wednesday, 18th June 2014 11:14 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

FIFA 15′s place-holder box art leaked yesterday, and it featured a sticker that suggested the game’s Ultimate Team Legends content will be exclusive to Xbox One and 360. EA’s just confirmed that it’s true.

To clarify the matter, an EA spokesperson told Eurogamer, “We’re not talking about FUT 15 just yet but yes, Legends will continue to be only on Xbox platforms.”

There you have it people. Stay tuned for more.

Above is a video of Pat talking about FIFA Ultimate Team Legends. Listen to the man.

Anyway, the information comes to us through the football game’s boxart posted on Amazon as well as GAME. We’ve posted the temporary boxart shown on Amazon below.

Not all game features will be “available on all gaming platforms,” EA has stated.

Ultimate Team Legends allows players collect legendary stars of football throughout its history for Ultimate Team mode.

Legendary players from FIFA 14 included: Dennis Bergkamp,Luis Figo, Ruud Gullit, Gary Lineker, Pavel Nedved,Pelé,Romario and Patrick Vieira (thanks CVG).

FIFA 15 releases September 23 in North America and September 26 in Europe on 3DS, PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Wii, Vita, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Who is featured on the cover?
I haven’t followed the sport since i was a kid, so the vast majority of said players are by now retired.

I’m glad ultimate team isn’t focus on the ps4 version. That game mode is killing FIFA. Every year UT has tonnes of new features while gameplay and Manager mode see little to no improvements. Infact features are stripped back from PS4/XB1 to make sure FUT is perfect. Then when we complain about game breaking bugs, they do nothing. Soon as you mention a bug in FUT, its fixed within days coz it’s EA’s cash cow. I despise EA’s practices. Their a blight to gaming I tell you.

They did the same for Fifa 14, yet the playstation versions sold double the Xbox versions.
    Money well spent Microsoft.

@ The gentlemen laughing above. I don’t know sales figures.

However remember the game was also bundled with hardware.

Attempting to poke fun or laugh at something without looking at all factors is a sure fire way to get laughed at yourself.

Sorry, but that is completly wrong! The sales figures from VG Chartz (for example) doesn’t include the XBO-Download Bundle Version.

@ysleiro Even if every single xbox One that was released had a free copy of FIFA with it, they would still be less than the PS4/3/Vita total. Don’t forget it was only the Day One console in the UK that had the freebie, and there was still stock for sale as recent as May.
In Europe, where FIFA sells the most, Playstation is King.

@Opalauge The Xbox One Day One with FIFA would be maximum 300,000 as it was also sold with a Forza option.

@sennasnit Well they are selling the PS4 in 3x as many territories so your point is redundant. Another thing to add if I may, currently there is fuck all out for the PS4 until 2015 so I’m guessing people are buying it out of boredorm, nice try though haha

@dontbescaredhomie92 The extra regions total less than 1 million units so irrelevant, as is your point.
Buying out of boredom? The stupidest thing I’ve ever read lol

@dontbescaredhomie92 You didn’t return with any proof of your ridiculous comment.
It’s clear who the fanboy is and it isn’t me.
    lol indeed

I don’t want any beef…but no one should blindly trust ANY sales figures out there. FIFA is a self-perpetuating game in Europe (esspecially in the UK) and I would not be surprised if it sold by far more than 300k times within the Bundle.
Problem is…these sales figures are only for Retail-Versions. Online Sales are completly out of this statistics, and there are many people in european countys who imported an XBO because of the delayed launch (Swizerland, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands…).
MS has nothing to complain about…the XBO is selling better than the 360 back then, and they still have many countrys and regions to launch the console.

Also…what “dontbescaredhomie92″ intendet so say is not completly wrong. Infamous DLC, The Last Of Us Remastered and Driveclub…that’s almost it for 2014 when it comes to exclusives.
On XBO: Project Spark, Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive, Halo MCC and a Fable Legends Beta.

So there is definetly no reason to mock XBO users. Gosh…nowadays I feel like back in the 90′s with Super Famicom vs. Genesis… -_-’

@Opalauge I never actually meant anything negative, only that no matter what MS do, FIFA will always sell more on playstation systems. Don’t forget that FIFA was also available digitally on PS3/PS4 and Vita, which is also not included.
Microsoft has done well to turn things around, although I think they were quite shocked by the negativity at reveal.

Yeah…that negativity was self-inflicted in an epic scale, but they deliver…that’s something i acknowlege.
Of course FIFA sells better on PS. Europe is/was PS territory (especially Germany) and NA is definetly not that much into Soccer.
On the other hand games like CoD sold way better on XBox in the last Gen.
Who cares as long as anybody gets enough games to enjoy?!

Nonetheless both consoles are great and enjoyable with good games to come. Timed DLC here, extra content there…these are no gamechangers…nor is this “resolutiongate” bullshit.
