FIFA, C&C, Battlefield and more among 50 EA titles to lose online support in June

EA will close down multiplayer and online support for 50 titles in June. See the full list through the break

Many of these titles were already known to be victims of the Gamespy shutdown, which affects both Mac and PC games, but the shutdowns affect a range of platforms including DS, PS2, PlayStation 3 and Wii.

The full list comes direct from EA’s support page; look for the June 30 2014 entry. A few of these games, such as Star Wars: Battlefront 2, will continue on thanks to third party support.

    i can see people getting upset about Battlefront II.

    @1 not really. Most use private servers to play on like Timeless Gaming, for example. Interesting that they are now killing off the Star Wars Battlefront games considering they didn’t even own them in the first place.

    No other titles, so maybe EA just want to destroy the Battlefront franchise as there’s no mention of any other Star Wars titles like JK or Republic Commando online.
