Dark Souls 2 was the top seller in Japan, according to Media Create. As the only software debut in the top 20, the From Software title moved 255,197 units on PlayStation 3 with the Xbox 360 version hitting 14 on the chart with 5,950 units sold.

Total units sales for Dark Souls 2 came in at 261,147 over three days of availability.

Hardware sales were down for the week with the exception of two entries: PlayStation 3 and PSP. The jump in sales for PSP was slim, as it only moved 36 extra units week-over-week.

PS3, which was fourth on hardware chart, moved 14,128 units – a 2,026 jump over the prior week.

Despite retaining its slot as the top-selling hardware since launch, PlayStation 4 unit sales were down 5,617 over the week prior. However, no new titles were released for the platform during the period.

PlayStation Vita was once again ahead of its portable rival, 3DS LL but not by much: the former moved 28,270 units while the later sold 23,372 units.

Nice to see Dark Souls 2 top the charts, at least in one region.
Titanfall, MGS: GZ and Infamous SS are all nice games but nothing, NOTHING comes close to the Souls games in terms of awesomeness.

Great Vita and PS4 sales, especially Vita. Hopefully it can sell >3million this year with holiday boost later.
DS2 is performing better than DS1, good news for From Software.
Yokai Watch is having insanely good sales. The game launched more than a year earlier, and is still selling so much. Now Level-5 just needs to milky milk it

The top selling platform is the 3DS.

    Why lying ?

If you want to separate 3DS from 3DS XL sales, so why don’t you separate PSA Vita 1000 from Vita 2000 sales ?
