Composer Jeremy Soule, known for creating game music for titles such as The Elder Scrolls and Guild Wars, has signed an exclusivity deal with SOE to create music for EverQuest Next and EverQuest Next Landmark.

According to post on his Facebook page, Soule said the contract with SOE spans future projects that are MMOs.

“I won’t be returning to Guild Wars,” he said. “EverQuest has an exclusive with me for the future projects that involve MMOs. [Guild Wars] was a good experience over many years. As with all good things, it had to come to an end.”

Thanks, Massively.

Well my interest has piqued, shame he’s left Guild Wars but GW2 was a huge disappointment for me so here’s hoping EQN is going to be awesome. Jeremy Soule is teh shizz!

As long as he still makes music for the TES series, i’m a happy man.
I never played Guild wars 2 as I didnt care for guild wars one, but for GW2 fans, this must suck.

Glad to hear it, quite fond of Soule’s efforts. I think he’s had some weak moments, lately, but he’s still one of the best composers out there. I just think that too many people are trying to shoehorn his music into their design, but Everquest seems like it would be a pretty good fit.
