EverQuest Next - Landmark's grappling hook makes exploration fun

EverQuest Next - Landmark answers a question we didn't even know needed asking until we saw this video: "Do MMOs need grappling hooks?" Yes. Yes, they do.

You know how it is in MMOs - you think you've found a shortcut but actually you're now stuck halfway up a mountain, hoping to wall hack your way around and desperately trying to remember if this one has fall damage, before getting stuck between a rock and overgrown mushroom and having to kill off your character.

Maybe that's just me, actually, but how great does EverQuest Next - Landmark's traversal look in comparison to the usual endless trotting from place to place? Climbing, diving, grappling - it's got it all.

Currently in closed alpha testing, Landmark is a world building MMO which will eventually contribute to EverQuest Next itself, which isn't expected till 2015 at least.

Thanks, Massively.
