This should be really interesting, considering that the PS4 isn’t really geared for 3D could this also mean a firmware update to coincide with the device (if it exists)

Motion controls was a fad, I don’t think the general core gamer latched on to and as a result fell by the waste side, but VR headsets I think would truly immerse yourself into a games world.

I really hope it becomes a thing. imagine, a stealth title like say Thief built with a VR headset in mind, as you sneak around the environment. It’ll be awesome.

I hope Sony can pull it off.

I have tested the Oculus Rift and I have no doubt it will change EVERYTHING when it comes out for consumers. So I really hope Sony is working on a VR device for the PS4. The only thing I am concerned about it how the PS4 will be able to display 30/60fps on two displays in 3D.

Could be they sell it with a connection box like the Personal 3D Viewer MHZ series Sony have and that they will add some GPU hardware in that to compensate for the resources the VR headset will need.

    Exciting times!

This will probably be priced at 2grand. Way out of my price range that’s for sure.

Kutaragi loved the Rift – they should support the Rift. Sony has been great at supporting industry standard parts since the PS3 – arguably the PS2 (keyboard, IDE hard drive).

I’d love to have VR on a PS4. I’m not going to buy a headset just for it, just like I’m not going to buy a driving wheel that only works on the 360. These kinds of purchases are almost to big to justify to begin with – if they’re platform limited, it’s a non-starter.

I’m more interested in functionality than resolution and (presumably) build-quality though
