After 11 years of continued growth in North America and partnerships with leagues in Europe and Asia, MLG is expanding to build an extensive competitive gaming platform in South America.

The collaboration will kick off with the Call of Duty Championship Brazilian Online Qualifiers on February 16 and February 23. MLG Brasil will coordinate with MLG in the US to “help facilitate the online qualifiers” for the teams to advance to the Call of Duty Championship in Los Angeles from March 28-30.

The Call of Duty Championship will be broadcast exclusively on MLG TV.

Amazing! This shows Brazil have the capacity to accept gaming as something not only for kids, but for adult professionals, be them pro gamers or developers. Everyone who plays games is treated like kids here, it’s sad. But everyone plays flappy bird, that’s normal, just a fun little game, but if I say I play in a console at my free hours then I’m imature. Maybe the MLG creation can change people views.
