Deep Down PS4 screens show monster types, enemy bios revealed

Monday, 6th January 2014 09:45 GMT By Dave Cook

Deep Down developer Capcom has released a trio of new screens for its PS4 RPG, showing off some of the blood-thirsty enemies you’ll be facing, along with their bios.

It follows this recent Deep Down PS4 trailer, which gave us the biggest glimpse at Capcom’s RPG yet.

DualShockers reports that the first enemy is called ‘Jackie’ and is similar to the Mimic creatures found in Dark Souls. They’re essentially living treasure chests with a taste for human flesh. It will attack any player approaching to open the chest with its big teeth, arms and legs. You’ll take big damage from it, regardless of what armour set you’re wearing. Yikes.

Here’s the Jackie now:

Next up is the Pooriiz, which are insects found stuck to the ceilings of dungeons, waiting to detach and fall around players. They attack in swarms and can quickly overwhelm players, so beating them one at a time is preferable.

Here they are:

Finally, here’s a shot of a player using one of Deep Down’s portals:

@1: Wow from a downscaled 490×275 image of a 1080p game screen, you can still tell, that it was originally natively rendered in 720p? How’d you do that?
