Bethesda boss says no content at Spike VGX

Thursday, 5th December 2013 22:39 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Fallout 4 is not going to be on show at Spike VGX this weekend, according to Bethesda executive Pete Hines.

“I am not going to VGX. Bethesda is not showing/talking about anything at VGX,” Hines said on Twitter.

Hines is heading to Los Angeles for meetings, and his trip had added fuel to a rampant fire of speculation that Bethesda is about to reveal Fallout 4.

It’s not yet confirmed what Bethesda is currently working on now that Skyrim has wrapped, but a recent trademark and teaser site, both fake (although Dave still holds out hope), whipped fans into a frenzy of hope for a new Fallout sequel.

Spike VGX takes place on December 7.

Thanks, Ausgamers.

He could’ve had content, if he wasn’t such a greedy fuck.

See that Mountain? You can climb it.

Fallout 4 is going to look like what Fallout 3 did in relation to Oblivion. Theres going to be next to no surprises its going to be Fallout and its going to have the same creepy dead-eyed NPCs and the bizarre face zoom when initiating conversations.

Even the teaser phrase is straight from one of the most over-used lines from New Vegas. Arrow to the VATS? olololol

    Give it a rest Beth.

For the love of god, dump Gamebryo. Give us another engine, you make enough money FFS.

Come on now, they have been working on new stuff since Skyrim was released over two years ago. Back then they said that they new engine revamp for Skyrim was going to be used for two games, which means Skyrim and Fallout 4, with a new engine for TES6.

If they havent majorly overhauled the engine, they should have something to show by now, at least an early teaser.

@2 – You realize Pete Hines is in marketing, right? You know, advertising, packaging, public relations, every but game design?

@5 – The dumped Gamebyro already. Skyrim was on an in-house engine.

No it wasn’t, it was a mucked about version of Gamebryo.. which BTW is absolutely OBVIOUS if you bothered actually LOOKING at the structure of the graphics assets.

You should believe what your eyes tell you, instead of what the companies tell you.

The count-down from the Survivor2299 site doesn’t end on Saturday, so there is a slim chance! :P

@fearmonkey What engine does TES: Online use?

@8: Way to not know what’s actually going on around the entire Prey 2 affair. Game design has nothing to do with it.
