Batman: Arkham Origins – Initiation is tomorrow, courtesy of Warner Montreal. They’ve just sent us a new trailer to mark the occasion.

UPDATE: We’ve just received the trailer above from Warner Bros, and confirmation that the pack will cost £5.49 when it drops tomorrow, December 3. It’s also part of the game’s DLC season pass.

Warner’s synopsis reads:

Set high in the Paektu-San Mountains of North Korea, the Initiation Add-On follows a young Bruce Wayne as he faces his ultimate test. Players will embark upon a series of challenge maps that test their martial arts training across exotic locales, including a bamboo forest and a mountain top monastery. Fans will face fresh enemies along with an epic final test to prove their worthiness to Bruce’s greatest and most pitiless teacher, Kirigi.

Any takers?

ORIGINAL STORY: Xbox 360 Achievements has posted two separate achievements for the pack, suggesting that players can control Bruce Wayne through each of the existing campaign’s ranked maps and challenges.

For example, the achievement “Bruce’s Revenge” reads, “Obtain all 72 medals on the original Arkham Origins ranked maps (as Bruce Wayne).”

Last week we reported that the Initiation DLC will see Bruce Wayne fight ninja in a monastery challenge map. If the achievements are on the money, you should also be able to play as Bruce through all of the game’s on-disc challenge maps. This is the first we’ve heard of the feature.

What do you think?

Kirigi? Who’s Kirigi? I’m not too familiar to all the changes of his origin story, but in the movie he was trained by Ras, what happened to that? Are they not members of the league of shadows?

I remember reading that it was supposed to include 2 skins as well. I only see one.

Anyway, I think I’ll actually spend my money on the season pass, now that it’s reduced in price and the content looks promising.

The movies are not accurate. He was never trainedd by Ra’s.

Wow, this looks kind of interesting. Hopefully, it won’t just be a “skin change”, but actually involve some new gameplay or combat features.
