Battlefield 4: Second Assault DLC’s returning maps confirmed

Monday, 4th November 2013 12:29 GMT By Dave Cook

Battlefield 4′s Second Assault DLC will see a selection of Battlefield 3 maps return, and DICE has now confirmed the full list.

It follows the DLC’s announcement last month. It’s coming to Xbox One first.

IncGamers reports that Caspian Border, Operation Metro, Gulf of Oman and Operation Firestorm were confirmed for the DLC during Microsoft’s Europe vs USA live-stream over the weekend. The maps will be re-worked to feature new Levolution features.

Here’s the stream, if you missed it:

Meanwhile, Battlefield 4′s first DLC pack China Rising is coming to Premium on December 3. Get the details here.

Fairly decent maps… but Metro? Why?!??!

We already have Operation Locker for a clusterfuck killfest map :(.

@4 I think Metro would work pretty well with the new Conquest Domination mode though (which I’m loving btw, along with Obliteration). And hey, they’ve been ‘re-worked’ right? Maybe they’ve found a way to resolve all that hideous bottle-necking…

@6 An XB1er talking about winning against PS4 in relation to Battlefield 4…that’ll go well ;)

@5, I just hope the levolution event opens the layout up and prevents the bottle necking like you say, otherwise I think it’ll just be a reskin of the map, same layout.

they prob put some elevators in metro. WHY METRO? Because all the other maps are infested with snipers and that is the one map where they cant hide like a loser.

@12 Oh yeah. Mass Effect 3 had day-one DLC on all platforms that was not free, and it was central to the story. They even admitted it was there because it wasn’t ready when they shipped, and it was a part of the complete game. They do like money.

Why does it matter? Most avid Bf4 players buy premium anyway.

exactly. and the first dlc was free if you preorderd the game anyways. The “limited edition”.

I’d rather they brought back some of the better Bad Company maps.

Arica Harbour, Panama Canal, Oasis and Harvest Day shite all over any of those BF3 maps in terms of fun and design.
