Killzone: Mercenary day one patch is almost 1.2 GB – report

Wednesday, 4th September 2013 07:12 GMT By Brenna Hillier

According to The Sixth Axis, Killzone: Mercenary, which arrives in Europe today, has a hefty day-one patch. The update weighs in at 1190MB, and includes “stability fixes and performance optimisations” – but also means a digital copy of the game will require 4.5 GB of memory card space rather than the base 3.3 GB install, which may be worth considering if you’re wondering whether to get the retail or download version. We’ll have impressions and a review round-up for the Vita shooter later today.

Thanks, CyberMarco.

Price of the 32gb needs to be dropped even further, it’s ridiculous.

It’s not coming to the US for a while but last I heard today’s the day for Europe, if not the UK. It should be day-and-date with the PlayStation Store update, and that’s Wednesdays.

My 32gb is already full, mostly with ps+ content. It should have had 120gb internal storage. Patches like this will forever mean my vita has a fundamental design flaw restricting the progress of this platform moving to digital only. I love my vita but the whole memory card fiasco is a farce that should have been avoided
